The Compliance Advisory Panel (CAP) oversees the implementation and operation of the IFAC Member Body Compliance Program. The CAP is also responsible for making recommendations to the IFAC Board about the membership application process including recommending new applicants for membership. IFAC's compliance and membership activities are the responsibility of the IFAC staff and reports to the Chief Executive. The Compliance Advisory Panel's terms of reference further describe its role and responsibilities and operating procedures. OversightThe Public Interest Oversight Board oversees the work of the Compliance Advisory Panel and other public interest activities of IFAC. Member Body Compliance ProgramMembers and associates are required to participate in the Member Body Compliance Program to demonstrate that they are maintaining their good standing and addressing the requirements of IFAC membership. The program's activities include the submission of self-assessment information and, where necessary, the development of action plans that enable them to better meet IFAC's membership requirements. MeetingsThe Compliance Advisory Panel holds meetings to discuss activities in progress and results of the compliance self-assessments and to review applications for membership. The CAP typically meets three times a year and additional telephone conference meetings are scheduled to address specific matters during the course of the year.
