Abdulwahid Aboo

Abdulwahid Aboo became a member of the IFAC Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee in January 2012. He was nominated by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Kenya (ICPAK).

Mr. Aboo is currently the managing partner of the SMP audit firm AAC Kenya, a correspondent firm of Russell Bedford International. Previously, he worked as a senior auditor with PwC in Mombasa, Kenya, and as the general manager and financial controller for TSS Group of Companies, also in Mombasa.

Mr. Aboo is a member of the National Council for the ICPAK and a full member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries in Kenya. He also has actively participated in community service for over 20 years. He has served for two years as the chair for the ICPAK’s Practitioners Development Committee and the new SMP/SME Committee and has been part of organizing many seminars and conferences in East Africa. He is also a member of the governing council and chair of the Finance Committee for KCA University (Kenya).

Mr. Aboo is a fellow with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), holds an FCPA and FCPS designation, and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of RwandaInstitute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, and National Board of Accountants and Auditors (Tanzania). In 2012, he was nominated by the ACCA to join the ACCA’s Global Forum for Audit and Assurance.
