Aldona Kamela-Sowinska

Aldona Kamela-Sowinska became a member of the Professional Accountancy Organization (PAO) Development Committee (previously the Developing Nations Committee) in January 2009. She was nominated by the Accountants Association in Poland.

A former Minister of the Treasury for Poland, Ms. Kamela-Sowinska has over 30 years of experience in academia and the public sector. Her current positions include professor at the University of Economics in Poznań and chairman of the International Relations Commission of the Accountants Association in Poland. She is a past rector of the High School of Commerce and Accounting in Poznań.

She holds two master's degrees, in economics and law, and a Ph.D. in economics.
