Anne-Marie Vitale became a member of the International Accounting Education Standards Board in July 2012. She was nominated by the Transnational Auditors Committee.
Ms. Vitale is a partner with PwC and has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry group severing emerging and multinational public companies in various business sectors, including semiconductors, computers and networking, software, and medical devices. In this position, Ms. Vitale provides technical advice to both emerging and large multinational public companies on a wide variety of accounting and reporting matters, including business combinations, revenue recognition, and complex equity transactions. She also has extensive experience in public offerings of equity and debt securities.
Ms. Vitale is also the knowledge and learning leader for the US assurance practice of PwC and a member of the US extended leadership team. In addition to establishing the strategic direction for learning and development, she leads PwC's efforts to leverage continuous professional education as a means to directly improve audit quality.
Prior to joining PwC, Ms. Vitale worked at Science Applications International Corporation, a leading provider of scientific, engineering, systems integration, and technical services and solutions.
Ms. Vitale is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Ms. Vitale has an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of San Diego (US) and a Bachelor of Science in Combined Science from Santa Clara University (US). She has also completed coursework related to government contracting.
