Athalanallur Natarajan Raman

Nominated by the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), Athalanallur Natarajan Raman became a member of the Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee in January 2010. Mr. Raman currently serves on IFAC's PAIB Review Task Force. He previously served the PAIB Committee as a member from 1995-1997.

Mr. Raman has worked extensively in the field of management accounting--writing and speaking avidly on topics relating to management accounting, enterprise governance, and cost management. He currently works as a consultant on management accounting topics with a focus on activity-based costing and target costing in India. He is a founding member of the Total Cost Management (TCM) Division of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Furthermore, Mr. Raman is the current President of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), where he plays a pivotal role in promoting the work of the IFAC PAIB Committee in the Asian region.

Mr. Raman is a member of the ICWAI, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka.
