Brian McGuire joined the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB) in January 2014. He was nominated by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
Dr. McGuire works in the Romain College of Business at the University of Southern Indiana, USA, as the Associate Dean, Director of Accounting Programs, and Professor of Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant, a Certified Business Manager, and a Certified Information Technology Professional, and he has professional experience in public, corporate, and non-profit accounting.
He has broad leadership experience, having served as a director on several global boards. In addition, he served as President of the Board of Trustees for the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA), as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and as Director of Administration and Development for Beta Alpha Psi (BAP). He also served as President of the Board of Trustees for the IMA Research Foundation.
Dr. McGuire has a BS in Accounting from the University of South Alabama (US), an MBA from the University of South Alabama (US), and a Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida (US).
