Caithlin Mc Cabe became a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) in January 2008. She was nominated by the Transnational Auditors Committee.

Ms. Mc Cabe is the leader of Deloitte Australia's Audit technical group, which is responsible for maintaining the firm's system of quality control and for informing, training, and advising firm professionals on technical matters relating to accounting and auditing standards, audit methodology, and audit tools. She is also a member of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu team responding to IAASB documents. Ms. Mc Cabe is also one of two national quality and risk partners for Deloitte Australia and is the national regulatory partner.

Ms. Mc Cabe is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
