Clare Minchington joined the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB) in January 2012. She was nominated by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She previously served as a technical advisor for the IAESB since 2006.
Ms. Minchington is the executive director of the ACCA. She is currently leading a major program within ACCA to provide innovative, market-leading assessment and learning support, enhancing the flexibility and relevance of ACCA’s qualification through technological solutions.
Ms. Minchington joined the ACCA in 2000 as head of education and over the past six years has served as a member of the executive team with responsibility for educational matters. She has been responsible for the last two major qualification reviews in 2001 and 2007. Prior to joining ACCA, Ms. Minchington was chair of the MBA Financial Strategy course at the Open University Business School.
Ms. Minchington is also a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment Examination Board and an editorial advisor for the International Journal of Management Education and the Journal of Applied Accounting Research.
Ms. Minchington is a qualified accountant and holds a degree in Chemistry from Oxford University. She initially qualified as an accountant with Price Waterhouse.
