David Bean

A member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) since 2007, David Bean became Deputy Chair of the IPSASB in January 2011. He previously served as a technical advisor to the IPSASB. Mr. Bean was nominated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Mr. Bean has over 30 years of experience in governmental accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. He is currently the Director of Research and Technical Activities at the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. He is also the author of several publications on accountancy. In addition, he is a member of several accountancy and research organizations, such as the AICPA, the Association of Government Accountants, and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.
