David Maxwell became chair of the Transnational Auditors Committee in January 2011. Prior to this, he served as chair of the Forum of Firms and as a member of the Transnational Auditors Committee.

Mr. Maxwell has 26 years of experience in the profession, working and living in the United Kingdom, United States, and Belgium. He is a member of the National Management Board of Grant Thornton UK LLP and has a long history of auditing international mid-cap groups and providing related services such as listing work and transaction support.

Mr. Maxwell previously served as chairman of European Grouping of International Accounting Networks and has been involved in the Audit Quality Forum in the United Kingdom.
