Eduardo Ojeda López Aguado

Eduardo Ojeda López Aguado is chief executive officer Baker Tilly México and founder of Márquez, Ojeda y Cia., S.C. Mr. Ojeda has more than 39 years of experience in the areas of auditing, taxes, and administration and was previously a partner at Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co. and KPMG. He is also a member of the Professional Practice Committee for Latin America and a specialist in bankruptcy law registered with the Federal Institute of Bankruptcy Specialists.

Mr. Ojeda has been member of the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos since 1971 and chaired the Executive Committee from 2008 to 2009. He is a member of the Board of Baker Tilly International and Baker Tilly Latin America, as well as several other business groups. He has also published several technical articles and been a speaker at events and conferences in Central and South America, the United States, and Europe.

Mr. Ojeda received a diploma in insolvency law in 2006 from by the Institute of the Federal Judiciary, Judicial School, the Mexican Bar Association, and the Federal Institute of Specialists Bankruptcy. Mr. Ojeda’s professional activities granted him the chairmanship of the Mexican Society of the Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México from 1996 to 1998.

Mr. Ojeda obtained his degree in the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and is a Certified Public Accountant. He also has a diploma in taxation from the Colegio de Contadores Públicos and has participated in several different international academic programs, including at Stanford University (US), Harvard University (US), and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania (US).
