Gary Hannaford

Gary Hannaford was appointed to the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants in January 2012. He was nominated by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).

Mr. Hannaford is the chief executive officer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba, which is the provincial regulatory body for Chartered Accountants in the Province of Manitoba, Canada.

Mr. Hannaford is also the Chair of the CICA’s Public Trust Committee (PTC), which is responsible for overseeing the regulatory structures and processes across provincial jurisdictions in Canada. PTC’s goal is to achieve consistency between provincial Chartered Accountant bodies in Canada and make sure that the processes and standards in Canada meet or exceed international standards.

A graduate of the University of Waterloo, Mr. Hannaford is a Chartered Accountant, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba.
