Greg Shields is director, auditing and assurance Standards, at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), supporting the activities of the Canadian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board. He was previously director, assurance services development, at CICA focusing on non-traditional services for public accountants. Before joining the CICA, Mr. Shields was director, audit research and methods, in the Canadian national office of a major public accounting firm.

Mr. Shields is a Canadian Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) and is a member of the CICA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
