Guy Piolé became a member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board in January 2013. He was nominated by Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes and Conseil Supérieur de l'Ordre des Experts-Comptables.

Mr. Piolé is a senior member of the French Court of Auditors, where he is manager or senior member of various teams of external auditors of either international (EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, CTBTO in Vienna) or national organizations, mainly in the field of the French Social Security System, after having been involved in the external audits of the accounts of local authorities and of the national state.

Having been chairman of two French local courts of auditors, Mr. Piolé now participates in the oversight of the national network of those courts by the French Court of Auditors. Before joining the public sector as a teacher in private accountancy, he worked in private companies in trade and industry.

Mr. Piolé has also written a book and various articles on accountancy and auditing and given lessons at the Sorbonne University in Paris. He is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration of France, and of the University of Aix en Provence in Economics.
