Helene Agélii

Helene Agélii became a member of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants in 2012. She was nominated by the Nordiska Revisorsförbundet (Nordic Federation of Public Accountants, or NRF).

Ms. Agélii is general counsel at FAR, the institute for the accountancy profession in Sweden, where she is involved in, among other things, FAR’s policy group for ethics.

Ms. Agélii worked within the Swedish court system from 1996 to 2003. Beginning in 2001, she worked as an associate judge at one of the Swedish administrative courts of appeal. Between 2003 and 2009, Ms. Agélii worked at the Swedish Supervisory Board of Public Accountants, primarily dealing with disciplinary matters. Ms. Agélii has also worked as a secretary with the governmental study on auditors and audits for the Ministry of Justice.
