Ian Rushby became a member of the Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee in January 2012. He was nominated by the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies.
Mr. Rushby holds a number of non-executive directorships in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. He was formerly the chair of the Whole of Government Accountants Assurances Committee at the UK Ministry of Treasury and a Board member at the UK Ministry of Defence, where he also chaired the Audit Committee.
Mr. Rushby worked for BP plc from 1977 to 2008, where he held various commercial, finance, and control positions, including chief financial officer, exploration and production auditor, and group general auditor.
Ian Rushby qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974.
