Inge Saeys

Inge Saeys became a member of the Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee in January 2010. She was nominated by the Institut des Réviseurs d'Entreprises (Royal Institute of Registered Auditors in Belgium, or IBR).
Ms. Saeys is an active audit partner in an SMP, the PLC Van Cauter-Saeys & Co., where she serves small- and medium-sized entities (SMEs) and subsidiaries of international organizations.
Inge Saeys is a member of the IBR Board, becoming the first female board member since the drafting of IBR's constitution in 1953. She actively participates in a number of organizations supporting SMPs/SMEs. Her positions include president of the IBR SME/SMP Commission and member of the IBR Committee of International Relations.
Ms. Saeys is also an active member of regional and national associations supporting the interests of SMP offices. In addition, she has taken part in various working groups to assist in SMPs implementing international standards, including International Standard on Quality Control (ISQC) 1 and the International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
Ms. Saeys has a degree in commercial engineering with a specialization in accountancy and auditing from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and a tax degree.
