Jan Labuschagne

Jan Labuschagne became a member of the Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee in 2013. He was nominated by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

Mr. Labuschagne is a management consultant specializing in business improvement, strategy, and finance. He previously held the positions of chief executive officer and chief financial officer at Sappi Southern Africa, based in Johannesburg. Prior to that, he was director accounting at Sappi Fine Paper’s European head office in Brussels.

Mr. Labuschagne is currently serving as chairman of the SAICA Advisory Council and was chairman of the Board of SAICA from 2009 to 2011, prior to which he served on the SAICA Board and multiple committees since 2004. He is a CA (SA) with a bachelor of commerce (honours) degree in accounting.
