Jean Blascos

Jean Blascos was appointed to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) in January 2011, nominated by the Transnational Auditors Committee.

Mr. Blascos is the partner in charge of KPMG France's Professional Practice Group, which is responsible for informing, training, and advising firm professionals on technical matters relating to accounting and auditing standards, audit methodology, and audit tools. Previously, he served as an SEC Reviewing Partner in KPMG's US Capital Markets Group in London. He is also a member of KPMG's International Standards on Auditing Panel.

Mr. Blascos is a member of the Professional Standards Committee of the Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes (the French national institute of auditors) and currently serves as chair of two of the Committee's working groups.
