Jeanine Poggiolini was appointed to the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board in January 2011, after having been nominated by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

Ms. Poggiolini currently holds the position of standard setter at the Accounting Standards Board (ASB) in South Africa, the body responsible for developing standards for the public sector. Prior to joining the ASB, she was the technical director at the Institute for Public Finance and Auditing.

Ms. Poggiolini is a member of several committees that enhance financial reporting and governance in the public sector.
