Jianshen Chen

Jianshen Chen was appointed to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) in January 2011, and was nominated by the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA).

Mr. Chen was chief partner and chairman of the Board at Ascenda CPAs Ltd., a leading local firm in Beijing, China, and is currently the chairman of the Partner Management Board at Zhi Tong CPAs, a member of Grant Thornton International.

As a practitioner for more than 25 years, Dr. Chen has extensive experience and insight into the CPA profession in China. He has served as a member of China's Independent Auditing Standards (CIAS) Group, was a member of the CIAS Advisory Group, and is a member of CICPA's Auditing Standards Committee.

Mr. Chen's published works have appeared in the CPPCC Daily, Accounting Research, and the Journal of Financial Accounting.
