Joanne Scott works for the External Reporting Board, is an independent body responsible for the development and issuance of accounting and auditing and assurance standards in New Zealand. She has a strong interest in public sector accounting and has been involved in this field throughout her career. Ms. Scott was also involved in the development of the early International Public Sector Accounting Standards and has contributed to other publications issued by the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board.

Ms. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from the University of Otago (New Zealand).
