John L. (Arch) Archambault became a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Boardin 2010. He was nominated by the Transnational Auditors Committee.
Mr. Archambault is a senior partner in the national professional standards and global public policy groups for Grant Thornton. Previously, he served as the national managing partner of professional standards for the firm. He is also a member of Grant Thornton's national leadership team, and previously served on the firm's partnership board.
Mr. Archambault has served as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)’s Auditing Standards Board and SEC Regulations Committee, and the Professional Practice Executive Committee of the Center for Audit Quality. Currently, he serves as a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council of the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board's Standing Advisory Group, and the International Auditing Standards Task Force of the AICPA. In addition, he is the former Chair of the Regulatory Working Group of the Global Public Policy Committee.
Mr. Archambault received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Colorado State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois and Colorado (US) and a member of the AICPA, as well as the Illinois and Colorado CPA Societies.
