John Cahill became a member of the Professional Accountants in Business Committee in January 2009 and deputy chair in January 2011. He was nominated by CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
Mr. Cahill has more than 25 years of experience in various financial roles in the energy industry. Currently an independent non-executive director of the mining services company Emeco Holdings, Ltd., he had previously served as chief executive of Alinta Infrastructure Holdings from 2005 to 2007. He currently serves as president of CPA Australia and also sits on its Western Australia Council. He had previously served as state president of the organization’s Western Australia Division.
He has a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University and a Graduate Diploma in Business from Edith Cowan University.
