Dr. Jose Echenique’s teaching and accounting research interests extend throughout many different fields, including audit, bankruptcy, and operations. He is the author of Information Systems Audit published by McGraw Hill and other articles on accounting and business administration.

Dr. Echenique was Dean of the National University of Mexico (U.N.A.M.) Accounting and Business schools from 1993-1997 and has served as faculty and advisor for the university since 1969. He was also Director of the Public Finances Center for the Mexican congress, from 2003-2005.

Dr. Echenique holds an MBA from the Columbia University Business School and completed his Ph.D. work at U.N.A.M.’s Engineering school.
