Joy Thomas is president and chief executive officer of The Society of Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada), a position she assumed in June 2009. Ms. Thomas has more than 25 years of experience in management, accounting, and strategic leadership.

Mr. Thomas also serves on the Board of Governors for the Canadian Comprehensive Audit Foundation, Board of Directors for the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, and the Board of Directors for CMC Canada. Additionally, she is a member of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, Financial Executives International Canada, and the International Women’s Forum.

Ms. Thomas received her CMA in 1993, an MBA in 2003, and the Chartered Director designation in 2009. She is a Certified Management Accountant and, in 2005, became a Fellow in CMA Canada.
