Job Title: Technical Director, IAASB
Kathleen Healy was named Technical Director for the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board™ (IAASB™), an independent standard-setting board supported by IFAC, in July 2014.
Since joining the IAASB in 2006, Ms. Healy has also served as Deputy Director, Senior Technical Manager, and Technical Manager. She currently supports the Board’s efforts in relation to its auditor reporting project and the development of its future strategy and work program, and works closely with the IAASB’s Consultative Advisory Group.
In addition to her work with the IAASB, Ms. Healy has experience in the public and private sectors. From 2003 to 2006, she served as a staff accountant for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, D.C., focusing on reviews of regulatory filings in the telecommunications and consumer products industries. Prior to the SEC, she worked in Assurance and Business Advisory Services at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP, in Philadelphia, Penn., from 1997 to 2003, focusing on audits of large multinational clients in the consumer and industrial products industries.
Ms. Healy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics, with honors, from Lehigh University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
