Job Title: Chair, IESBA Consultative Advisory Group
Kristian Koktvedgaard became Chair of International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) Consultative Advisory Group (CAG) in July 2013.
Kristian Koktvedgaard currently represents BUSINESSEUROPE where he is Chair of the VAT Policy Group. He has also served as Vice-Chair of the BUSINESSEUROPE Green Tax Working Group and represents BUSINESSEUROPE in the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board CAG. Mr. Koktvedgaard is head of VAT, accounting, and auditing with the Confederation of Danish Industry and a member of the Danish Accounting Council and the Danish disciplinary tribunal for State Authorized and Certified Public Accountants.
Previously, he worked as an accountant at KPMG C. Jespersen in Copenhagen for over six years, where he participated in the audit of a variety of companies ranging from small- and medium-sized entities to listed companies within the following business areas: manufacturing, building and construction, exploration and development, shipping, forwarding and services.
Mr. Koktvedgaard is actively involved in the Danish Accounting Forum, a body that brings together Danish stakeholders to discuss accounting issues. In addition, he is a member of the BUSINESSEUROPE Accounting Sounding Board and has represented BUSINESSEUROPE in audit matters on numerous occasions. Previously, he served on the Danish Supervisory Authority on Auditing.
He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Copenhagen as well as master of science degree in economics and auditing from Copenhagen Business School (CBS). In 2015, Mr. Koktvedgaard completed the Board Education Program from CBS Executive. The program is based on 16 intense workshop days facilitated by top executives and board members of Denmark.
