Mariano D'Amore became a public member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board in January 2010. He was nominated by Consiglio Nazionale dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili
In 2010, Mr. D’Amore was appointed by the State General Accounting Department to the committee for the drafting of the regulations for the reform of government accounting systems in Italy. He has also been a member on boards within the governance of several local governments.
Mr. D’Amore is currently a professor of accounting at Parthenope University of Naples, where he heads the Department of Accounting and Management Studies and coordinates the doctoral program on management, accounting, and regulation of public sector organizations. He has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally, on accounting and management topics. He is also the author of several publications relating to government accounting systems and standard setting in the public sector.
Mr. D’Amore received a Ph.D. in concern economics from University of Naples "Federico II."
