Merran Kelsall joined the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) in January 2011. She was nominated by CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Ms. Kelsall has considerable expertise in audit, risk, and compliance. She is an experienced independent director, having served on numerous boards in the public and private sectors, and is currently the part‐time chairman of the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board. The board is an independent statutory agency of the Australian government and is responsible for setting auditing and assurance standards and related guidance in the public interest.
Ms. Kelsall's current appointments also include director at Superpartners Pty Ltd and RACV Ltd and chairman of Australian Health Service Alliance Ltd. She is also a former trustee of the National Gallery of Victoria and a former chair of a CEO Syndicate.
