Rachel Grimes

Rachel Grimes became a member of the IFAC Board in November 2011. Ms. Grimes was nominated by CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Ms. Grimes is currently a director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Team at Westpac, a multinational financial services firm. She has more than 21 years of experience across the financial services sector, working in commerce with Westpac/BT Financial Group as well as for the Big Four firm Price Waterhouse.

Ms. Grimes joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia in 1994 and advances to fellowship in 2002, before being appointed as a director in 2006. She was the state chair of the New South Wales regional council in 2004, a member of the Nominating Committee, chair of the Executive Remuneration Committee, and a member of the Information and Communication Technology Sub Committee. She is also a member of the Joint Accounting Bodies Committee and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Board.

Ms. Grimes is a Chartered Accountant.
