Job Title: Deputy President
Rachel Grimes was appointed deputy president in November 2014 after serving as an IFAC Board member since 2011. Ms. Grimes was nominated by CPA Australia and Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) now Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand.
Ms. Grimes is currently chief financial officer, group technology at Westpac Group, a multinational financial services firm. Ms. Grimes previously held the office of director of mergers & acquisitions at Westpac. She has more than 24 years of experience across the financial services sector, working in commerce with Westpac/BT Financial Group as well as for the Big Four firm PwC.
Ms. Grimes joined the ICAA in Australia in 1994 and advanced to fellowship in 2002, before being appointed as a director in 2006. Ms. Grimes was appointed president of ICAA in 2011. She has also held the offices of ICAA state chair of the New South Wales regional council in 2004 and chair of the ICAA Executive Remuneration Committee, and served as a member of the ICAA Nominating Committee and Information and Communication Technology Sub-Committee. Ms. Grimes is a chartered accountant.
