Nominated by the Moroccan Institute of Chartered Accountants, Rachid El Bejjet became a member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) in January 2012.
Mr. El Bejjet is currently an executive manager in charge of public sector accounting standards at the General Treasury of the Kingdom (GTK) at the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he served as the director from 2007 to 2009. He is a participant in the International Cooperation Program of the GTK.
Throughout his career, Mr. El Bejjet has served in a variety of positions within the GTK, including chief of department of banking rules and collection process of non-cash items, project manager of debt securities portfolio and banking operations, and as chief of the regional centre of information systems.
Mr. El Bejjet holds an MBA from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in France. He is an engineer in information systems having graduated from the ENIM School in Morocco.
