Ramon Casals

Ramon Casals became a member of the IFAC Board in November 2010. He served as a technical advisor to the IFAC Board from 2009 to 2010 and to the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants from 1998 to 2001.

Mr. Casals has spent 40 years at PWC, 28 of them as Partner and 14 in charge of the Barcelona office. He is currently retired from the profession and is serving as a board member of several non-profit organizations.

He is a member of Instituto de Censores Jurados de Cuentas de España, where he served as a board member from 1985 to 2004, the last four years as Vice President. He is also a member of the Catalan Accounting and Business Management Association, and the Association of Business Administration. He served on the auditing working party of the FEE.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a graduate degree in business administration.
