Richard Mifsud is the executive director of the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board. He was formerly the executive director of the Australian Accounting Research Foundation and the technical director of the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office.

Mr. Mifsud has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and Master of Commercial Law from The University of Melbourne (Australia). He is a Fellow of both CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
