Robert Dohrer

Robert Dohrer became chair of the Forum of Firms in July 2010. Previously, he served as a member of the Transnational Auditors Committee, representing RSM International.

With nearly 25 years of experience in public accounting, Bob Dohrer is the Global Leader, Quality & Risk for RSM International Limited (RSM). He has overall responsibility for the network’s audit and other attest services policies, procedures, and guidance. Mr. Dohrer is also responsible for overseeing RSM’s global quality inspection programs in accordance with International Standards on Quality Control. 

Prior to joining RSM in March 2012, Mr. Dohrer served as McGladrey & Pullen, LLP’s National Director of Assurance Services and International Assurance Services Practice Leader. McGladrey is the US member firm of RSM International.

Mr. Dohrer is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), where he serves on the International Auditing Standards Task Force, Assurance Services Executive Committee, and International Financial Reporting Standards Strategic Advisory Group. He also is chair of the AICPA XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) Assurance Task Force. He is a former member of the AICPA Auditing Standards Board.

Mr. Dohrer graduated from the University of South Dakota with a master of professional accountancy degree and from Black Hills State University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
