Roger Simnett

Mr. Simnett is a professor of accounting and Associate Dean (Research) at the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He teaches and researches in auditing and assurance services, with his research aimed at improving audit and assurance quality and making policy recommendations. Prior to joining UNSW Mr. Simnett worked as an auditor. 

Mr. Simnett is also a member of the working party for the International Integrated Reporting Committee and chair of the Sustainability Expert Advisory Panel for IFAC. He also served on the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board from 1995-1999 and the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board from 2002-2005.

Mr. Simnett is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia and has been published in many major international accounting and auditing journals, including The Accounting Review, Accounting Organisations and Society, Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Australian Accounting Review, and International Journal of Auditing.
