Stephen Heathcote is the Executive Director of Markets at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), overseeing market strategy and leading the market team across ACCA’s network of 83 offices and other centers around the world. He is also responsible for a portfolio of investments to deliver sustainable growth for ACCA in reputation, influence, and size. Previously, Mr. Heathcote was the Executive Director-Finance and Operations at ACCA.

Mr. Heathcote is also the Secretary to the Edinburgh Group, a coalition of 14 accountancy bodies from across the world representing over 90,000 professional accountants.

Prior to joining the ACCA, Mr. Heathcote was the Director of Planning and Resources at the UK Financial Reporting Council, where he was responsible for planning major activities, associated reporting, and operation leadership, which included the chief operating officer role. Earlier in his career, he was a senior manager with KPMG.
