Steve Vieweg

Steve Vieweg became a member of the IFAC Board in November 2008. He served as technical advisor to the IFAC Board from 2003-2008 and also served as a technical advisor to the Ethics Committee from 1998-2000.
Mr. Vieweg worked for 14 years as President and CEO of the provincial and national CMA organizations. During this time, he led governance reform efforts and introduced risk management frameworks and performance measurements systems. He also provided assistance to accounting associations in developing nations. Mr. Vieweg is currently an academic at the University of Manitoba.
Mr. Vieweg is a director of The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of Manitoba and is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Manitoba.
Mr. Vieweg has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Manitoba, an MBA degree from Syracuse University and is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Manchester, where his studies focus on innovation in the not-for-profit sector. He also has his Chartered Director designation.
