Stuart Black became a member of the IFAC Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee in January 2009. He was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), CPA Australia, and the Institute of Public Accountants, the three recognized professional bodies in Australia.
Mr. Black is chair of the Sydney-based accounting firm Chapman Eastway, an SMP of four partners. He has over 35 years of experience in business services and holds a number of listed public company and not-for-profit directorships. He is a fellow and past president of the ICAA, a Fellow of CPA Australia, the Tax Institute of Australia, and the Institute of Company Directors, as well as a board member of the Australian Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board.
In June 2012, Mr. Black became a member in the General Division of the Order of Australia for his services to the accountancy profession, ethical practices, and standards, and as a contributor to professional organizations and the community.
Mr. Black holds a bachelor of arts in accountancy from Macquarie University.
