Subodh Kumar Agrawal became a member of the Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee in 2013. He was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Mr. Agrawal is also the technical advisor for International Accounting Education Standards Board member Jaydeep Shah for 2012-2014.

Mr. Agrawal is the vice president of ICAI for the years 2012–13. A Fellow member of the ICAI for 23 years, he specializes in internal and statutory audit of private and public sector entities, including banks and insurance companies. He has also provided consultancy services in the fields of accounting and auditing, particularly in matters relating to Indian and international auditing and accounting standards, corporate laws, corporate governance, and business restructuring.

Mr. Agrawal has been an active member of the Capacity Building of CA Firms & Small and Medium Practitioners Committee of the ICAI. As a practitioner in SMPs for over two decades, he is well versed with the challenges being faced by small practitioners.

Mr. Agrawal has been appointed to the Committee on Professional Ethics and Independence of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).
