Takeo Fukiya

An associate partner at KPMG AZSA LLC, Takeo Fukiya is an acting audit engagement partner serving Japanese government agencies. He also has more than 10 years auditing and advising experience in the public sector.

Mr. Fukiya joined Asahi Shinwa & Co. (now KPMG AZSA LLC) in 1991 and earned his Japanese CPA designation in 1995. In May 2006, he was named an associate partner at KPMG AZSA LLC.

Since 2012, Mr. Fukiya has served as the vice chair of the IFAC-International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board Working Group of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA), in charge of public sector accounting issues within JICPA. He has also been involved in various accounting and auditing technical committees within JICPA.

Mr. Fukiya holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Keio University and is a member of JICPA.
