Eileen Walsh joined the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB) in January 2009. She was nominated by KPMG.

Ms. Walsh has worked at KPMG for more than 30 years and currently serves as the partner in charge of KPMG Business School–Audit. She is responsible for the audit technical curriculum and oversees a team that designs, develops, and delivers training to more than 9,000 audit professionals. Prior to this assignment, Ms. Walsh was an insurance audit lead partner in KPMG’s New York office serving a diversified insurance client base.

Ms. Walsh has extensive experience both locally and globally in the insurance market, having served a wide variety of US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) multi-national registrants. Her years of experience and her reputation for delivering quality audits is a skill set that is pivotal in her present position.

Ms. Walsh earned a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
