Eileen Walsh became a member of the International Accounting Education Standards Board in January 2009. She was nominated by the Transnational Auditors Committee.
Ms. Walsh has over 30 years of experience with KPMG and is currently serving as the partner in charge of the firm’s Audit Learning and Development group. She is responsible for the firm’s audit technical curriculum and oversees a team that designs, develops, and delivers training to over 9,000 audit professionals. Ms. Walsh also leads the firm’s IFRS cross-functional training agenda. Prior to this assignment, she was an insurance audit partner leader in the New York office, serving a diversified insurance client base. She has extensive experience both locally and globally with the insurance market, having served a wide variety of multi-national registrants with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ms. Walsh graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University (US). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
