Job Title: IFAC Board Technical Advisor for Joy Thomas
Eduardo Ojeda is the CEO of Baker Tilly Mexico and a member of the Board of Baker Tilly International. He has more than 35 years of experiences in auditing, taxes, administration, and corporate governance. Mr. Ojeda was a Partner at Peat, Marwick Mitchell and Co. (KPMG) for more than 20 years, as well as a member of its Professional Practice Committee. He was also Chair of the Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México and Chair of the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos, a founding member of IFAC.
He received his accountancy degree at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and is a Certified Public Accountant. He also received a degree in taxation from the Colegio de Contadores Públicos, and he has participated in several international academic programs, including at Stanford University, Harvard University, and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
He has been professor at ITAM and Escual Bancaria y Comercial in Mexico. Mr. Ojeda has published several technical articles and has spoken at conferences in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, and Malaysia.
