Mr. Mocavini is technical advisor to Prof. Francesco Capalbo since March 2019. He previously served as technical advisor to Prof. Adriana Tiron Tudor (2016-2017) and Prof. Mariano D’Amore (2010-2015).

He has been working for the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, State General Accounting Department (MEF-SGAD) for more than 30 years. Currently he works in the Research Division of the MEF-SDAG and carries out researches into the matters of performance measurement, public internal financial control and accounting standards. He published several papers and studies on these subjects.

Among his duties, he is also responsible for relations with other Countries and with international Institutions and bodies. In particular, over the last fifteen years, he participated, as Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance representative, in several international meetings (OECD and EU).

He has been project leader and expert in various technical assistance projects for EU member States (such as Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Slovak Republic, Poland) in the field of budget management, financial control and public accounting

He is currently involved as project coordinator in an EU SRSS project named “Design of the accrual IPSAS/EPSAS based accounting reform in the Italian public administration”.

He is certified public accountant and auditor in public entities and private companies owned by Italian public local governments.
