Fanisa Lamola is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Board and Executive Committee as well as its Acting CEO. Since 2012, Ms. Lamola has been Executive Director Corporate Services responsible for internal operations and driving innovation in the organization.

Ms. Lamola was also appointed as an IFAC board member in May 2018 to fill a casual vacancy. At the expiry of the casual term, she became a technical advisor.

Ms. Lamola has served on various committees and councils, including being the chairperson of the Limpopo University Advisory Council for the School of Accounting as well as being a chairperson for the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of South Africa Limpopo Region. In addition, she currently serves as a member of the nomination committee for the Chartered Accountants Medical Aid Fund.

Ms. Lamola studied at the University of the Witwatersrand where she specialized in Corporate Finance and Investments and subsequently furthered her studies and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
