Guy Andrade

Guy Almeida Andrade became member of the Nominating Committee in November 2016 after being nominated by the Instituto dos Auditores Independentes do Brasil (IBRACON) and Conselho Federal de Contabilidade (CFC). He previously served on the IFAC Board from 2000 to 2006 and as a member of the Nominating Committee from 2006 to 2010.

Mr. Andrade is the Managing Partner of Magalhães Andrade, a Brazilian auditing firm. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Companhia Müller de Bebidas, and member of the board of EMAE – Empresa Metropolitana de Águas e Energia S.A. He is also member of the Audit Committee of EMAE, Banco Pine S.A., BK Brasil Operação e Assessoria a Restaurantes S.A. e da Câmara Interbancária de Pagamentos CIP.

In 2006, Mr. Andrade was member of the Steering Committee of the Comprehensive Review of Governance and Oversight within the United Nations, its funds, programs and specialized agencies.

Mr. Andrade has served in multiple leadership positions with IBRACON, including President, Board Member, and Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Andrade has also received numerous accountancy leadership awards. In 2000, he received the Medal of Professional Merit from the São Paulo State Regional Accountancy Council with the Medal of Professional Merit. In 2007, he became an Eminent Accountant with the Sindicato dos Contabilistas de São Paulo and he was IBRACON’s Outstanding Professional of 2014.

Mr. Andrade has Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Economics and Business Administration Faculty of the Universidade de São Paulo - FEA/USP and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidade Mackenzie.
