Kathryn A. Byrne became a member of the Nominating Committee in January 2018; she was nominated by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). She previously served as Chair of IFAC Compliance Advisory Panel from January 2016 to December 2017 and served as Deputy Chair and member since 2010.

Ms. Byrne has more than 25 years of experience in providing accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to domestic and international corporations in various industries. She consults regularly on financial reporting matters to ensure compliance with US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Ms. Byrne completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University (US), earning a BBA in Accounting and Finance. She is also a 2014 graduate of the Mazars EMBA Program. She is the Chair of Praxity's Membership Committee and the former North American Chair of Praxity, a unique global alliance of independent accounting firms with offices in 65 countries. She is also a member of the Group Governance Council of Mazars Group.

Ms. Byrne is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Signature Bank as well as the Lead Director, member of the Examination Committee and the Nominating Committee. She is also a member of the Women's Corporate Directors Group and James Madison University College of Business Board of Advisors.
