Keto Nyapendi Kayemba
Keto Nyapendi Kayemba joined the Professional Accountancy Organizations (PAO) Development Committee in January 2014. She was nominated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
Ms. Kayemba is the assistant auditor general in the Office of the Auditor General (OAG), Uganda. She has been instrumental in the adherence of policies and implementation of various reforms and programs that have defined the corporate growth and excellence in the OAG. Following the enactment of the National Audit Act, she contributed to the improvement of performance in the OAG through promoting professionalism, core value formulation, institutional and capacity building, strategic approach to management, restructuring, a sector-based approach to audits, and improved reporting.
Ms. Kayemba is active in African Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions activities and also serves as a technical assistant to the Auditor General of Uganda in the Multilateral Audit Advisory Group of the World Bank.
Ms. Kayemba is a member of Council at the ICPAU and ISACA International’s GRA subcommittee, where she previously served on the SAS subcommittee. She has also served as president of ISACA’s Kampala chapter (2009-2011).
She is an FCCA, member of ICPAU, and a Gold member ISACA. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelors in Commerce of Makerere University.
