Khalilullah Shaikh, FCA, joined the IFAC Professional Accountants in Business Committee in January 2017 after serving as a Technical Advisor to the committee from 2014 to 2016. He was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).
Mr. Shaikh has been associated with K-Electric Limited, a vertically integrated power utility, for the last 10 years and has been part of the company’s turn-around team, which transformed the utility into a successful customer-centric and profitable entity. He is currently heading the internal audit function as Chief Internal Auditor after serving as Director, Finance and Business Administration for four years.
Mr. Shaikh started his career with A.F.Ferguson & Co., a member firm of PwC. He also worked for a Shell group refinery in Pakistan as Head of Treasury & MIS.
Mr. Shaikh is an ICAP Council member for the term 2013-17 and currently serving as Vice President-South of the Institute. He has also chaired various ICAP committees and task forces.
