Mr. Manoj Fadnis became a member of the IFAC Small and Medium Practices Committee in January 2016. He was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), where is currently President. He previously served as the Technical Advisor to IFAC Board member Mr. K. Raghu for 2015–2016.
Mr. Fadnis is currently Deputy President of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) for the term 2015–2017. He has represented ICAI to various National and World Standard Setters, including the Asia Oceania Standard Setters Group and Emerging Economies Group, respectively. As Chair of the Accounting Standards Board of ICAI, he has been credited with the formulation of converged Indian Accounting Standards with International Financial Reporting Standards.
Mr. Fadnis represents ICAI on the Board of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA), and is the Chair of XBRL India. He is also the Chair of ICAI’s Accounting Research Foundation (ARF). He is also on the Board of listed companies as Independent Director, in addition to being on the Board of Directors of the Indore Management Association.
He has been nominated to serve as a member to the Companies Law Committee constituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. He has also been nominated to serve as a member of the Audit Advisory Board of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, in addition to the Board of Public Companies by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
